Guizhou Leach-Tianyi Aviation Electrical Company, Ltd (LTA) was formed in 1999 as a joint venture between Leach International Corporation, Buena Park, Calif., USA, and Tianyi Electrical Company, Zunyi, Guizhou, PRC. It is an equity joint venture licensed to manufacture high reliability relays, power controllers and high power contactors and sells its products worldwide to aviation, railroad and industrial markets.

All LTA products are produced from piece part kits and processes provided assemble production by Leach International. These products have been tested to several military and commercial aviation specifications from the USA, Europe and Asia including MIL-STD-83536 and 6106. The Company has established quality management systems on the basis of ISO9000 (Version 2000). The LTA products meet the requirements of the world's toughest high-reliability applications. The Boeing Commercial Airplane Company has approved the LTA as a supplier for Leach International relay assemblies, and the Federal Aviation Administration has been notified of the production of Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) relay assemblies by the LTA for Leach International.

Currently, the LTA produces Leach International subminiature, hermetically sealed aviation relays, including the J and K relay series and associated time delay relays. Production lines for the smaller X and Y subminiature relay series have been installed in 2002 and are in the process of analysis and qualification test prior to full production. The LTA is also installing a power contactor line for the Leach H, Z and AJ series hermetically sealed contactors.
